Hi, I'm Sam!

I’m a software engineer who recently chose to relocate from Denver to New York City. During this time, I took the opportunity to travel to four international film festivals, while also developing my skills in Rust, which I have about 2 years of experience with. But now, I’m excited to find a full-time position where I can leverage my past experience in software engineering while developing new skills as well!

During my career, I’ve primarily used C/C++ and Python, with over 5 years of experience in both. My previous employers include:

  • AMD, where I worked as a Senior Software Engineer on Vivado, a software tool used for FPGA design.
  • Micron, where I worked on the Flash Translation Layer (FTL) of a new SSD architecture.
  • Intel, where I did pre-silicon test bench design with SystemVerilog.

In addition, I hold a BS and MS in Computer Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology. My work has largely focused on high performance software, with previous specialities in embedded systems, RTOS, and test infrastructure, but I’m interested in all C/C++, Python, and Rust development work.
